10 and 15 metres have been rather quiet lately so I’ve returned to using the Buddipole on 20 metres.
I’ve been enjoying good conditions on 20 metres late afternoon our time after about 08:00z and have worked a number of DX contacts using the Buddipole in the vertical configuration. Seems like my comments about its performance as a vertical at this location were a bit premature.
Countries worked include Portgual, France, Switzerland and the USA so I can’t complain! It’s only about 4 metres off the ground so there’s a result.
The weather is starting to cool down here so I’m hoping to try a beachside set up later this week and it will be interesting to see how I get on. Watch this space.
